Terms of Service - 码迹 MajiScan

Welcome to 码迹 (MajiScan, the "App"). By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Service Description

The App is a barcode / QR code scanner and generator offering on-device features such as scanning, image decoding, QR generation, history management and link opening. Features are as provided by the current version; we reserve the right to adjust functionality.

2. Account & Data

The App requires no account. Your scan history, favorites and settings are stored locally on your device only, and the App itself does not collect, transmit or sell any personal data (the anonymous diagnostic reporting performed by the integrated Google ML Kit SDK is described in the Privacy Policy).

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to comply with all applicable laws and must not use the App to:

Generate or distribute barcode / QR content that violates laws or infringes others' rights;
Conduct fraud, phishing or other misconduct through the App;
Reverse-engineer, crack or disrupt the normal operation of the App.

4. Content Disclaimer

Content inside barcodes / QR codes is provided by its creators. The App only decodes and displays it and makes no warranty as to its truthfulness, accuracy or legality;
Third-party web pages opened through the in-app or system browser are the responsibility of the third-party sites and are unrelated to the App;
Any disputes or losses arising from scan results (e.g. link redirects, payment information) shall be borne by the content creator or the responsible party.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is suitable for all ages and collects no information that could identify you personally, so no information identifying a child is collected or used. If you are a child under 14, please use the App together with a parent or guardian. For details, see section 5 of the Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual Property

The App's source code, UI design, icons and documentation are owned by the developer and may not be copied, modified or redistributed without permission. QR codes and related content you generate with the App belong to you.

7. Service Changes & Termination

The App may adjust, suspend or terminate certain features due to version updates, platform policies or technical reasons. We will try to notify you in advance via app store update notes.

8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages (including but not limited to data loss or business interruption) arising from the use of or inability to use the App. The App contains no ads and no third-party tracking code.

9. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved through friendly negotiation; if negotiation fails, either party may bring the dispute to a People's Court with jurisdiction at the developer's location (深圳市中工存储与运算技术有限公司) in the People's Republic of China.

10. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on the app store listing and this page, and the copy bundled in the app under Settings > About is updated together with the App. Your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
